Vianca Sire Gallardo is a community leader in the town of Quebrada Guabo. From a young age Vianca has supported herself as an accomplished artisan, creating traditional Ngäbe handicrafts to sell. Professionally, Vianca has worked for the Panamanian Ministry of Social Development (MIDES) as the administrator for the municipality of Nole Duima. Within her community, she has been a leader in the Comarca’s women’s organization, serving as the secretary for the organization's coordinator. Additionally, she has facilitated trainings for the women in her community related to entrepreneurship, gender, and the rights of women so that all Ngäbe women know their rights.
After many years of informally supporting the work of FFC as the daughter of Vice President Doris Gallardo, Vianca joined the Junta Directiva in an official capacity as the Fiscal, a position in which she oversees all of the Junta Directiva’s initiatives in the Comarca. Vianca directly supports the scholarship recipients in the Susama region through managing the scholarship payment transfers, checking in with students regularly, organizing information sessions, and managing documentation. Vianca is also the mother of Edgar Sire, a current FFC university scholarship recipient set to graduate in December 2023.
